Looks tidy that, the one I looked at on Sunday was the same colour I think. Did yours have cruise control btw?

Hmm WolfyDave, the Grim North oh no! I'm basically Manchester so that just a bit far, I was looking more for something in a 60 miles radius as I don't have the time to travel to far.

Also had bad experience of driving to places to see a car only to find out its been sold despite ringing up first to check.

v8s when gassed up arent too thirsty, I used to run a 4.6 p38 rr with lpg and it worked out about 28-30mpg equivalent pound for pound but you also get the v8 rumble which is something i miss now i have a doozil.

I run a Disco 2 V8 as my everyday car and i never complain about fuel economy....If you are taking fuel economy into consideration, then in my opinion you cant afford to run 1. With a V8 you just fill it back up when its empty and sod the mileage.

I was just wondering about the fuel economy, as someone said its horrible but others say as the chap before said your looking at in real terms 25-30 mpg which is not bad at all.

Its mainly for driving small distances and the occasional trip down South or off to Scotland.

I looked at a load of TD5's before Buying my 2002....I plumped for the V8 because i'm not bothered about the fuel economy. I was trading up from my 1995 2.0 mpi which i still have and the TD5 wasn't much better than that.

And 1 thing to remember.....you get the gorgous BURBLE for free with a V8

Ahem, just been to see one today and had a quick test drive, the bodywork was good and there was no rust. Guy wanted £2250 for it, V8 Auto with 130,000 miles, LPG system was done last June at a cost of £1600, loads of bills and it seems have been serviced at Land Rover dealerships up to around 100,000k.

I wasn't very impressed by the dealership and the tires had very little tread left so that would probably be the first expense... Tried to get £2000 for it but he wasn't having any of it, what do you guys think?
