Well i picked up my p38 earlier today after leaving a deposit last week. anyway all seemed fine and everthing worked ok, done around 250 miles in her today but the problems have started already :(. I pulled up outside my house and wound down the drivers window but it wouldn't come back up them i touched the sunroof switch and that opened all the way back from just one press of the switch and guess what the bloody thing would not close. The sunroof eventually closed around an hour later but the window would not shut for a couple of hours. So my question is, is this normal tempramental behaviour and are there any common fixes to these problems, this has really taken the shine off of my day and i now darent go near the thing. Please help as so far i really lke this car.

If you have the EKA unlock codes, disconnect your battery, ensure uts topped up, then put on charge over night... Reconect, reset windows & sunroof, it may have been standing a while?, low battery?
Welcome

Hi paul, I doubt it will be the battery she started fine in the snow in Coventry this morning and it has had a very long run today. are the switches prone to playing up in the cold, what sort of code reader will plug in to this car.

Listen to Paul, low voltage on you battery will cause this.
If it's not been replaced for a few years change it.

Emergency Key Acces Code, should be on a card with the owners manual. If you haven't got it, get it, you will neeed it at some point. It's free from a stealer with ID, logbook and proof of ownership.

Don`t think Gav`s on yet 2day. The EKA is Emergency Key Access. Look in RAVE or check out previous threads for details, but this enables you to overcome the security system. It is a 4 digit code entered by the key in driver`s door lock. Make sure you have it before changing your battery. Only obtainable thro` a main dealer by showing proof of ownership/reg docs etc. (normally).

Right this is starting to make sense, i had to load the radio code in before driving off from the seller yesterday so the battery has obviously been disconnected when they fixed the rear door motor.
