Advice Reqd 90 2.5 Td 19j Oil Leak

Hello All, I Have Engine Oil Dripping From Drain Plug, While Engine Running, On Clutch/gearbox Forward Housing, This Oil Is Not A Major Leak But Not A Drip Either, Can Manage, However , Has Anyone Any Info On This.

Try replacing the copper washer on the drain plug.

But This Is Not The Engine Oil Drain, But The Clutch Housing Drain,where The Wading Plug Would Fit, Any Further Ideas Anyone. Thanks Again For Your Help. Rob(s. Wales)

If its engine oil then it will be your rear main oil seal which is behind the flywheel. This will mean removing the gearbox to repair it. Not a difficult job to do but a ramp helps

I have just done rear crankshaft oil seal on my 110 csw 2.5td. I found it easier to rip the engine out to do it than gearbox.I did have access to engine lift from a friend thou! Get the seal from paddocks i made the mistake of buying one elsewhere and it only lasted 2 days it cost my nearly 3 times more! paddocks was only a £10. I checked the clutch as well while i was there to see if oil has contaminated it but luckily it hadn't. contact me if you need more info! ok
