so fellas, Ive got a sIII ffr 24volt petrol and have nearly finished rebuilding a 2.5 n/a derv which is 12 volt and also ex military, now my question is whats the most straight forward thing to do when I swap the engines, change my landy over to 12 volt ie change all the bulbs, new heater, and new anything else I havent thought of, or can I make the engine 24 volt somehow, I dont know what the best way to go on is.... any help would be great

All you need to do is reduce the voltage for the motor cutoff, use starter, oil @temp sender from old engine and leave every thing else alone,

sorry mate but im a total novice, any chance you could explain that a bit more, surely the glow plugs, fuel stop, alternator, and starter are all 12 volt, so A) if I stick 24 through em it wont do them any harm? and B) how do I reduce the voltage? sorry to be a pain but I need a dummies guide to this....:(
