Did it make any difference to the engine at higher revs - eg above 2500 rpm? Was it any smoother - less harsh?

also...

removing the cross member - I am told I need a deep 10 mm socket - anything else likely to cause a problem?

makes the entire rev range smoother and yes deep reach single hex 10mm socket.

Thanks - I am hoping that a de-cat will cure engine "harshness" at higher revs - above 2500. Would you say it did on your vehicles?

I have checked everything else-- transmission, prop shafts, etc... just about everything that spins has been checked except the engine mountings. Hope the de cat will cure it.
