HI all, im new to the site so hello to everyone :D
im selling my polo soon in hope of getting a landrover defender 2.5 n/a any advice on what to look for on them? think one i may have is a 1986 model with 130k on her and hes asking for 1k for it is this a little too cheap?. any advice mucch appreciated

depends what condition it's in - a grand for a 90/110 with MOT and tax is a bargain even if it's a rot box

pictures ?
 
good move i sold my polo and bought a landy :D
go and get it now i would at that price with tax and test it will be gone in now time

you could pay up to 3k for a good 90, even of that age - stick a 200 in it if the NA is tired and you've got a 4K landy

if you don't want it please let me know - i'll even pay you a finders fee

Ok mate :D will let you know thnaks all for the replies im going to have a look next weekend, wheres best to get a lift kit for them from? what make ect? sorry i am a total noob lol

Anyhow...that does look a cheap 90...I expect the one on ebay will go for a lot more than current price (£1020).

If the chassis, bulkhead, footwells etc are rot free i'd snap his hand off for a grand..don't wait til next weekend..it will be gone. At least put a deposit on it somehow if you can't get there before then...all the panels look straight from the pictures you've sent..and the n/a motor is well known for reliability, cheap to repair too...and insurance will be reasonable compared to later turbo diesels..

Like Storm says, from the limited pics it looks straight, un-molested (forget the lift kit for a while) and worth probably more than asking price .. ;)

I'd buy it if I had the money ...
