These guys must be on a big sales drive at the moment. They are putting out some silly cheap prices for me on a 'fender. Up to 50% cheaper infact. Unsure whether id use them again as i didn't have the vest experience last time.

Being a yooff I pay quite a bit, Flux want £590, I found 10 (ten) insurers who came in under £500. But I need to call them today to cancel the auto renew, though will give them the opportunity to try and lower the price to a reasonable one.

Hi Bix,

Feel free to give me a PM with your Policy number and i'll get renewals to give you a call to try and compete.

You will often find online comparison quotes with basic cover will offer very competitive prices, but when you go call to purchase it there will be additional fee's eg. Admin fee's, insurance premium tax - they also often don't include legal cover/hire car/off roading & green laning which is all included free of charge with our policies.

Like I say, give me a PM and i'll give it my best shot for you.

Cheers

Jordan

Did we ever get an answer from anyone about what that actually means?

This isnt directed just at you Jordan.

Hi Ginge,

For me obviously it's a difficult one as every insurer will have different terms and conditions, so I can't speak on their behalf.

I can certainly confirm that we cover off roading and green laning as standard with all of our 4x4 policies.

Cheers

Thought I'd say it here so everyone can see.

Your guys have set me up with a great new policy which covers everything I wanted plus a hell of a lot cheaper. One very happy customer. :D

Thank you very much.

My beef with Flux came at renewals. It has gone up with Flux this year (not renewing, fyi), with a limited 5k a year policy and no no claims built up (that is my fault for not noticing it when I took out the cover).
Yet a standard go compare brings up several alternatives which offer similar coverage plus allow 10k a year for 20% less and I will gain no claims.

It seems they don't like repeat customers.

You contact Jordan? And did you know rates went up because of EU regulations, And the new post code rating for what you pay

I currently have an insurance policy through Flux for my bikes.

I'd like to know, Is there a way I can tie all my vehicles under one policy? Given as I can only use one at a time?

Current insured are - '99 Kawasaki ZX9-R, '01 Nissan Micra 1.0 (her indoors learning to drive), '08 Audi A6 2.0 TDI. Looking to get another multicar this year, Just interested to see if Flux can do anything???

2 years NCB on the car and 2 on the bike (nearly 3 on the bike).

thing is i dont see how an insurer couldnt cover you as a 'green lane' is a public road so the same as driving on any other road.

To drive a 'green lane' you must have insurance, tax, mot for the vehicle your in and valid driving licence, same as you would on any road. I dont see how the insurance company would be able to wiggle out of that one if you say had a crash into a 3rd party, or your car caught fire.

I have to sat their quote for me was really good, I used compare the market and was quoted £197 with breakdown cover quoted at up to £62 on top by Flux Direct and I had a renewal from Lancaster for £207 with breakdown at £39.99 on top. I applied twice to take the cover from Adrian Flux on-line via their link in the email quote and it kept crashing so I thought stuff this and rang them up, mentioned I used Landyzone and I now have insurance including breakdown cone for £196. Flippin' result, no robbery there me owd china, get it spent...

I took my insurance with Adrian Flux this year as Lancaster told me they couldn't renew my policy due to the type of vehicle. My 91 Defender is rebuilt on a galv chassis, and has bench seats & lap belts in the back, but is otherwise standard. And Lancaster are supposed to be a specialist insurer! Anyone else had this from Lancaster?

Ok so i had a standard 200tdi with tesco`s 338 a year just brought a seven foot high 200tdi with many mods, tesco`s wouldnt touch it! and these guys (Flux) did it for 303 a year!! im happy :)
