I need help with my insurance

Hi my name is Callum (20), I'm new to the forum. I need help with my insurance for my 3 door discovery as I'm getting quoted ridiculous prices from adrian flux and confused, £5000+. Any help will be much appreciated.

Insurance has gone silly in the last few months. Last year i got a quote for £285, this year i has to pay 620.. i has a quote of £1500 and 2 others wouldn't insure me!! I'm over 40, full no claims and never had an accident

Have you tried the likes of LV.. NFU.. Lancaster etc?
If you name other drivers, that can help

I've tried lancaster and it was much the same

It will be a combination of your age vehicle (land rovers are being nicked left right and centre) and where you live...are you just getting on-line quotes as that is just box ticking...

No, I've phoned up a few brokers

What level of insurance are you going for?...what age is vehicle?...how many miles a year are you doing?..on or off road parking?...value of vehicle?...

Fully comp 10000 miles, probably around £2000, locked garage and its a 1996 d1 3 door 300tdi

Go Third party and then they are not paying out for your car if you make a claim even if it's your fault they will pay out to third party...if it's only worth 2k whats the point of fully comp...

Sometimes 3rd party can be more expensive than fully comp

Try footman James. But LV etc are no use, and AF used to be OK NFU stink nowadays.
Bit surprised at Lancaster.
Fink it must be your age.

Out of interest how much insurance on a normal car like a Corsa, Fiesta for example.
When my son past his driving test it cost £2.5k to insure his 200tdi, to insure a x reg 1.8 Focus it would have been £10k!
