After upgrading ta v5 software, does the hawkeye work again straight away, or does yer need ta unlock it again wiff an unlock code from omnitec? Thanks.I have v 5 and i am still struggling.

you need to get an unlock code before you upgrade by e-mailing omitec, then connect everything up , (mains lead , update cable from hawkeye to laptop)
when you run the disc it will prompt you for the serial number and the unlock code . it then clears the hawkeye and installs V5 . takes about an hour. It is then ready to use

Could u tell e pls when did this upgrade came to market and which is the exact procedure to get hold of it ?(i have the cable and the power supply unit)

Andy.
Been doing a bit today and thought I would clear up this Hawkeye thing. Ihave version 4.0.0 software. My hawkeye will reset the ride height through the ABS or Chassis air suspension mode. This is like Test Book I think where it is all part of the SLABS menu. The Chassis section puts you in to the same ABS mode as choosing ABS from the menu, so either way will do. On the circuit tests you will find the ride height of the RR and LR suspension units in counts if you press tick on these menu items you will be given the option to raise or lower the ride height. Mine is set to 150 but I think you need to do this on absolute level ground and if you recheck you may find some movement. Mine has been fine in service but I cant get rid of a couple of warning lamps though.

These setting were, however, wiped out when the vehicle was started, and the suspension returned to its previous hieghts.
If you do this with the V.5 update, do the new settings stay programmed I wonder ?.

I dunno about v.5(i didnt even know it is out yet) ... what i know as a hawkeye user is that if u want to make changes/adjustments as to remain setted it must be done from the " Programming" menu ... with "Circuit tests" u can only test the circuits(obviously

Well mine stay where I put them ish. I don't understand how this module works exactly but the readings are never the same. But, when i put mine to 150 they stay around that. I think just moving the car would change the setting a little but it will stay around 140 to 155 and the height looks good. I think Land Rover use setting blocks to perform this action properly without this we just have to set a visual level Do not forget to tick the setting not move out of the module with the x button

The only programming in this section with V.4 is air to coils and transport mode, yes ?.

correct. You do not set through programming. I think when you use circuit tests to set levels without setting blocks any movement change of load will vary the level count. It is suspension after all. So just set it to around 150 on level ground. It will retain the height, but not exactly.

I dont want to argue on that but IMO the circuit test only energises the compressor and the valves bypassing the ride height sensors as to see if the circuits are working or not...it doesnt modify the ride height sensor's input in the ECU...which is the only way to adjust the height. This is the "gist" of the adjustment with the blocks... they put the calibration blocks then use T4 to store the inputs of the sensors in the ECU at that specific height... as far as i know u can't do that with hakeyeye v.4

I did it today to check it out for Fireman Andy. It does stay roughly at the level set. The compressor and valve checks are separate to the height level set which is separate for each side also.

I rest my case then
... though u can do a conclusive test(which i already did)... set different levels for right and left with circuit test then go for a ride... if the car will be still uneven as setted after that it means u are spot on... or your hawkeye v.4 is smarter then mine... or my SLABS ECU is faulty... or ... anyway in this case it's omitec's fault that they didnt put this feature into "Air suspension > calibration" menu as they did for Range Rover.fireman-andy

It came to market about 2 weeks ago , I located my nearest dealer on the bearmach website , phoned them up , and they sent me the disc next day delivery free of charge.

I have done the procedure as you have and although I can balance the settings on each side as soon as I start the car and drive around a bit it goes back to about a 20 'count' difference.
Do you have ace? the spec sheet I received with V5 shows that ace suspension can be programmed but the wabco / slabs cant ?
I did cock up when fitting the new bags and ride height sensors and disconnected the sensor with the battery connected and the suspension dropped to the bumpstop , and i never had them calibrated properly.
I am thinking about using the configuration menu to drop the suspension to the bumpstop in transportation mode and then disconnecting the battery for a bit. I'm wondering if this will then 'level' the sensors??

I have ACE but this feature is not connected to the SLABS ECU, it has his own ECU so it wont help too much.
About the ride height... what u can try is to disconnect the battery and swap the sensors between them... they'll send inputs from the unused part of them and u might be lucky if the ECU didnt store the new inputs from the uneven level.
