Hi all,

Would having the battery disconnected for 4 hours reset the adaptive fuel values back to default ?
Or can this only be done through T4 or something similar ?
Reason for asking, since battery has been off there is a slight missfire when opening the throttle and it is down on power compared to before.

Thanks.

No,the long term fuel and ignition trims need a reset on Testbook if something has been changed. There will be another reason for the misfire, usually plugs or leads.

Check your knock sensors. A dirty connector on mine once gave a misfire. Bit of contact cleaner and everything was fine. And no I don't know how or why, I just did as someone suggested and it worked!

Cheers Fella's
Fitted a new set of plugs (old one's done 3000 miles ish) and missfire is no more. Then noticed a reluctance to rev over 3500 rpm, cleaned MAF with a soft brush, no liquids, and now revving to 5000 ok.
Feels like it has a rocket up it's arse compared to before.
Probably just a coincidence that I didn't noticed it before the battery had been off as during normal driving I rarely go over 3000 rpm.
Thanks for the replies........TC.
