Trying to activate the menu button on the instrument panel , the manual says just press for a 3-5 secs but not happening.The only thing that may be stopping it working could be that a message is trying to tell me I have a trans safe failure would this interfere with normal operations.

A fault message such as that would override the inbuilt menus on the 2002-2005 models, once the message goes to the side arrows, you should be able to enter the hidden menus...
Ah OK , many thanks ,Having said that the side arrows are there but no normal things like consumption , time etc. I have Trans Failsafe Prog shown and as I seem to have confused the ecu I cant get rid. I was trying to find a battery drain and inadvertently put the transferbox into neutral swapping fuses, got it back to drive but message still says its engage for towing , so I pulled the no. 37 fuse out . It tells you how to put the box in to neutral by putting in this fuse but not how to revert to normal , any help on that would be good.

Thats great , I have now tried this , , I didnt turn to the next page doh! However the way it accidently went into neutral by checking fuses and putting them back turning ign on and selecting gears totally confused the ECU Playing around all afternoon yesterday , at this moment without checking , everything is back to normal thanks.
All I need to get working again is the info on the instrument screen.
