OK, i dunno why it has been done and i guess there must be a very good reason - but i still say it's the reason onelaughhadit and the spin-offs never took off! I don't log in when i'm at work coz they'll fire me but i sometimes go on in me lunch hour just to check whether anything has been updated on a fred i've been reading - i guess i won't be able to do that any more!
Its a shame that we can no longer advertise the fact we are a fun place to be as most of the fun happens in what is now the private members only area so i suspoect we will get less members joining (and consequently less posts, which will be less revenue and a less valuable site) but if you had to do it i guess you had to do it!
As i said, at least BoB will find it harder to log on as an alias and post people's private info all over the place though!

they were pretty racy for a child doing a school paper in auto shop and looked up Land rover and saw those post's . good idea to restrict access to non members, just so things can stay the same.

don't think it's any big deal myself, like roy sez, he had a very very good reason for doing it.
the majority of peeps don't search/find us because they want somewhere to have a chat and a laugh, it's usually born out of some land rover issue one way or another. this would lead them to the rest of the forum, then if they want to post their problem, they'll have to register anyway. once they have registered, then they'll see it exists.

Gotta agree with O P on this one.
I think the majority of guests are lookin for advice/info on here, and tbh there is sometimes a loada ****e posted on anythin goes..that regulars post.. me included..that guests wont exactly be searchin for..

Anything goes was created to keep rude, naughty and abusive stuff out of the way of people who don't want to see it. Anyone who reports anything in anything goes is just stupid for even venturing in there.. It does what it says on the tin.
As pointed out by Roy there is a VERY good reason for this, and as others agree, not everybody wishes to see bad language and smut when they log in. Just respect others views. If the only downside to this change is that you can't log in from work then please accept our apologies, but as pointed out it's this or clean up the whole site. Personally I prefer it this way.

I don't think an age restriction is necessary but wouldn't rule it out. I'd rather it was completely open but our hands are tied i'm afraid.
And no it's neither the second coming nor me trying to increase my post count, I'm always here just often way to busy with other stuff to get involved with a lot of the threads. Unless I need help with the 90 of course

If you really think it isn't then spend some time on them and decide which you prefer to use.. simple..
