Just done a short journey (less than 3 miles) and the warning lights for the ABS, Traction Control and Hill descent all stayed on all the time. Any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it please? It's a Freelander 1 X reg.

Thanks :)

Three Amigos. First if you have access to a diagnostic kit see what information it displays. If not check your service history or any receipts of any work been done on ABS Sensors and Brake Switch replacement. if non I would plum for the Brake light switch being faulty. Now the ABS SENSOR could be filthy and throwing wobbly signals to the Computer or the Handbrake switch also is faulty. But it worth getting a diagnostic tool on the case to find out which sensor is faulty.

Its unlikely that you'll have a diag kit that will read the Freelander codes - its not ODB2 compliant so the cheap devices won't work on it. But its worth spending a couple of quid with a garage to read the codes - it will stop you going round replacing all the kit until you find which bit has broke.

Thanks for the replies. So sorry for the late reply, I didn't realise I'd had any.
As it happens I did take the car into the garage as it developed another issue and it turned out there was so much wrong with it that it wasn't worthwhile me getting it repaired this time. I just couldn't afford it. So, having to sell it now as spares or repairs. Disappointing as I wanted to keep it going but it's just stretched my budget far too much recently.
Thanks again for your replies :)

What else is wrong with it. I can't believe that a 3 amigo's fault would render a FL1 as spares or repairs.
