ABS Sensor

Hi,
I have had the dreaded 3 amigos on for a few days (ok weeks) now, and the MOT is creeping closer, so I decided it was time to change the front sensor, I already knew which one it was as a mate had a Snap on code reader and it picked it up instantly.

So on to Flea bay and ordered up the sensor and fitted it today.
After fitting all the lights came on including the green hill decent and handbrake lights, panic started to set in but after a couple of on and off's with the ignition it cleared it self, then the ABS light came on and wouldn't shift. Grrr.

This is the best bit after seeing how good the Snap on tool was I invested a few pennies and got a bargin of said flea bay, so out it came and brought up code saying incorrect air gap, now when I adjusted it it must only have moved 0.5mm but after clearing all the codes I'm one happy Bunny!

Just the exhaust mounting brackets to repair on the exhaust

Thanks for the info. What is the model name of the snap on tool? Did it give an error code or text saying what the fault was?

would be good to no ive been looking into snap on scanners because of the amount of peeps i no who use my laptop based so a better one would be nice

What software you using on your laptop matt1295

For non land rovers I use a few diff ones but here's a list from what I can remember off top of head

Scan master elm
PCM scan
Scan XL pro with ford Mazda and gm
Vaux
Formidable

I ment for land rovers, do you have Landrover laptop based software....

There is IDS but apparently this will only work on 2005 and above models....Is there anything else out there?

no i have a hawkeye for my landy the software i listed above is for other cars but been thinking of a snap on scanner so i just have 1 unit instead of what i have now
