abs lights

hi folks can anyone give me good advice regarding my td5 disco ,i have the three lights in i have changed the shuttle valve abs its in garage at the mo and they said it was the abs unit which they have replaced and keep fobbing me off .
i am getting cheesed of now any good suddjestions please .its a 03 plate td5

Only thing I would suggest is getting it on a good diagnostics system and checking what the fault codes are.

So from what you have written,

You had the 3 amigos,
Did you put it on diagnostics?
You changed the SVS , did you fit a new Shuttle valve unit? Why did you decide to do that?

It did not fix the issue, so you sent it to a garage, who now say it is the ABS unit. but for some reason you think they are fobbing you off. Why do you think that?

yes the codes which have come up say thr svs valve is gone which i replaced brfore and it also said that the valve in the abs unit was faulty which then they sent for a replacement one but that didnt work
and its in a landrover garage with the proper diagnostic equipment

So if they have replaced both the causes of the fault codes then surely there must be a new fault code causing a problem.

So how do you think they are fobbing you off?

There are two main reasons for the collection of lights, ABS, TC, HDC, either a fault in the ABS modulator unit or one or more of the four wheel hubs and speed sensors. The only way to definitively decide what's what is to read the fault codes.
If you're absolutely sure that the fault is "SVS electrical" then it could probably be with the Shuttle valve switch plate on the underside of the ABS modulator unit. The fault is not usually on the switch plate itself, but with the connector inside the ABS unit.
There is a modification which can be applied to the switch plate which can bypass the potentially faulty connector.

yes brian i done that but it did not work thats why i was told its not supposed to be done as it will short circuit the ecu unit

I'm sorry, but I've done the SVS mod on a number of occasions and never had a problem. I tend to think that because it's an "unofficial" modification, LR will tell you not to do it because it can or will short out the ECU. If the modification is applied exactly as the link I've given, then since there are only two wires involved and they are first totally disconnected from the internal connection (which is cut off and discarded) there is no possibility of creating a short circuit to anywhere.
But it must be done exactly as it is written.
I'd go back and recheck that it's been done properly, cutting the two pin socket on the switch plate away. And at the same time, recheck the switches operate the resistors with the correct values.
