Abs accumlator pump?

Hi never had any brake problems since ive owned my p38 4.0 se 1995,
well today parked up 4 a couple hours, come out both my abs light light on and parking brake light on, looked at brake fluid level and all was good was looking at the accumalotor when seen like a big light green cyclinder with a big nut on it, when i tap this it made the clicking noise and lights went out , when i applied the brakes again all lights came on, and pedal went to floor, isn the green thing a solenoid cos when i tapp it i have brakes and no lights or could it be the abs valve realy, or abs pump relay, please help with any pointers can i in do th e soleniod ( green cylinder) its a wabco. ??#Please help

Mine runs with the igition on but when you put the engine on it stops after a few seconds, but that on a classic. They call it the abs booster pump. after driving up 7mph the lights go off.

No abs light and parking brake light on all the tim e, and pedal touhes the floor until i tapp the green solinoid valve on the abs pump accumalor, then it kicks in and knocks the light of and i have pedal pressure... is there a solenoid in abs pump or i read in RAVE that it could be the fuses please help.. i miss my p38..

Ihave a similar problem at the moment. Very poor brake assistance, abd,tc,h'brake lights all on. I was advisedit was the 'abs pump/actuator.

If the solenoid only works when tapped I would say a loose elec connection or sticking solenoid. Try changing the solenoid and see if that helps.
On the classic the pump should only run for a max of 45 seconds before it goes off. Any more would suggest a fault in the system or pump.

If the solenoids are the same on both Classic and P38 I can throw a good second hand solenoid your way.

Hi Khrystal, i know that the abs pump comes as a complete pump so Rane rover say, i dont know if u can get a replacemant solinoid for these and im not sure if there the same as the classic, ill try and post pic this week to see if yrs looks like it, ive checked all connections cannot find a loose one..
