Let me begin by saying I love Mitsubishi.
I wish I had seen this thread two years ago when I got a Pinin - it was a true lemon. I could list all of the problems like a sunroof that wouldn't work, or rust holes in the outriggers but here is just an example. It came with a fresh 12 months MoT. When I got home and inspected it - it was a 100 mile trip to collect and having gone by train it was either take the car or walk home.
- I found a leaking rear half axle. The oil was all over the show, brake shoes etc. Worse is the diff oil was all gone. I pulled the halfshaft and found a new bearing had been fitted and to remove the old one the bearing had been ground off and the grinder had left a groove allowing oil to escape.
This plus a load of faults meant I went to war with Moston garage and lost. I had involved trading standards but TBH I just gave up in the end. So I sold the POS to a garage trader and lost £800 on it not counting parts etc.
I wish I had seen the posting back then.
