I striped it down with all intention to put it on a galv chassis. But once I had got all the waxoil of it. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting so decided to just repair it.
And if I ever want to swap it out for a galv one it would be a much easier job having used new nuts and bolts in most places :)

Hi Aaron
My first post since i joined the site. Absolutely brilliant effort mate. It is certainly an inspiration and hopefully will get me off my arse and do something similar. Can't wait to see how she looks when finished

Cheers :) I've wanted to do a rebuild for a while now. Enjoying it so far so glad I've finally took the plunge.

So after work during the week I started prepping the bulkhead.

I finish early on Fridays so got about 6 hours prep work done.

Had a bit of work on this morning. Got back late afternoon and carried on with the prep work for another couple of hours.

Paint prep is the thing I hate the most. It just takes so long and it feels like you're getting no were :(

Bulkhead prepped.

And the bulkhead in primer :)
I'm Using a 2K high build primer. And I'm doing it out side as I will be flatting it down with some 800g before I paint. So not fussed if I get a few bits in the paint.

Great thread, I've just been offered the use of my in laws garage so have gotten very carried away and started doing the same with mine. The paint job looks fantastic: what colour is that, where from and how much? I've been umming and ahhing over what to get and if I should buy/rent compressor etc and do it properly or just use spray cans again. I think your pics have made me decide to do it properly.
