im going away to the dorset steam fair next friday with the family and pikey wagon but as i own a p38 dse though i better get breakdown cover, phoned around and aa are doing a special me covererd on any any vehicle as driver or passenger for £10 per month thats with unlimited roadside labour, for an extra £9 per month they do special on my rangey if i breakdown when it goes to a garage they will pay the first £500 of any repairs but there is a limit of £2500 per year (dont worry i know thats not enough), but seriously does that sound ok oh and yes it does cover the pikey wagon :D

Sounds good to me

i thought that so paid quickley as ive only owned this for about 6 weeks and already spent oner a grand, there is £25 excess if it goes to a garage though and thats a courtesy car for 3 days a time (like for like), it also has to be reguarly serviced when do LR say these should be serviced

Are you sure the courtesy car is like for like, it isn't usually with the AA. The reapir cost cover is only if yu breakdown and call the AA out. Still seems a good deal though

Watch out for the way they word their description of cover you've purchasing, one is "we'll call the local garage and get you booked in" and the other one is "if you breakdown we'll take you and your vehicle plus caravan (up to a certain length) home or to your destination by our relay service.

i checked this they will take me to where im staying and then take rr to garage and drop off car to me, and caravan cant be longer than 24ft mine is 23ft lucky enough

The reason for the 24ft rule is cos the recovery vehicle would be over length with anything bigger onboard. I'll take any size on my truck cos most police just want the roads clear.

Be warned that if you have an accident the AA WILL charge you to come out. As far as they are concerned that's what you have insurance for. Sitting on the roadside for 6 hours while trying to sort out an insurance claim is no joke.

I'm covered with RAC and greenflag already. I am considering taking 2 policies out with the AA to cover repair costs as the cost of 2 AA breakdown/repair covers work out the same price as 1 vehicle warranty. With the luck I've had with my 2 vehicles this last year I think it may be wise.

yeah i would ill double check about accidents with them tom but i remember few people tol me this before, to be honest im going away next week thats all im bothered about but ill keep it going because if i need repairs £20 a week is nothing really, when im back in bedford me and my bro in law both have recovery trucks so if i have a smash i can sort myself out as the rest of the year i only travel in my truck.
