A weird gel apearing in fuel filters..?

Morning all,

I've noticed a really weird gel almost looks like wall paper paste appearing in both fuel filters and the loat bowls in the carb. I've cleaned the filters and carb out a few times now but it just reappears. This is obviously causing running issues as it jams up the jets, blow them all through and it runs ok again for a bit untill more builds up.

When I get a few hours free I'm going to strip the complete fuel system and blow all fuel lines through, new filters, remove and wash out the tank see if I can't remove it all.... Any ideas what would cause it or where it's coming from???

oh crap I didn't think of that.... filler cap doesn't lock so yeah its possable ain't it....
