Hi

I may have the chance to obtain an "H" reg, 2.5 Diesel Range Rover Classis. It's an MOT failure, but if I can't be 4RSED trying to mend it, I was wondering if the engine would fit in my Series easily.

Any ideas chaps?

Which diesel is it? I think 'H' should be a VM, I've never heard of anyone doing it, possibly because they could be a troublesome engine anyway.

Hi

I believe it is a 2.5 TD VM engine out of a 1990 Range Rover Vogue.

80,000 miles on the clock and two owners from new.

Thoughts?

Cheers

No, the correct sequence of tightening the head involves several sequences of tightening, running until working temperature, tightening, letting it cool, tightening, with a combination of tightening by torque and angle, which is why if often doesn't get done properly. It is my belief this is a major reason why the problem often returns.
