Would you buy a Defender if you do all your driving on tar?
The thing is I've always considered a Defender a 'proper Landie' but is it better than a Disco if mosts of your time is spent on tar? I love the shape,
practicality, residuall values, etc of the Defender

My Disco suits my needs and the kids love it. I nearly sold it and they wouldn't talk to me for ages! I think I'm driving second best though. No doubt you've been asked this a million times but would love to know your opinions.

I got both, 90 for me and Disco for the wife & kids ! I love mine & she loves hers.
Best of both worlds.

shame not to take it off the black stuff but yes i love drivin mine about on it , great fun off the black stuff and its a PROPER landie ;).
never thought of um being a status simble as such spose could be to some

I run a Disco .. it's brilliant on and off-road, it carries seven, it has great towing ability, I've spend a bit on it to keep it well, I off-road it, play with it and generally abuse it, but I also absolutely love it and can't see me parting with it .. ever!!

But ... I'd have a Defender now if it would be practical for what we do ... ;)

Soon as the kids have gone ....
