Hi All, it's been a while since my last posts so I decided to write a post Praising my FL1 TD4 2006 Facelift.
After a long hard journey from November 2018 until now seemingly doing everything possible on My F.Lander I eventually got the vehicle on the road with a little help from friends and the wife giving up her cheap to run fiesta and I'm pleased to report it's GREAT starts and runs perfectly and even tows without a cough or splutter as I used it last week to take my boat out. The last job I did was reseal and re-gas the air con with a gauge and canister kit and it works too.I am getting around 34 mpg on short runs maybe bit more on longer journeys but I dont really care lol. I fitted a new wiper motor so the wipers park properly ( well nearly ) and still have a VCU to get reconditioned when I can afford it as well as two park sensors to replace but hey ho I suppose I still need a hobby oh and all the brakes to replace too but overall theres nothing like that feeling of sitting up high with good all round vision in a Landy I just need more reasons to prise it off the wife and drive it myself.

The problem with the Freelander section, is the lack of posts, especially compared to more troublesome larger LRs.

No faults generally means nothing to post, so this section of the forum can be very quiet.

Apart from my recent (hopefully now sorted) gearbox issue, my facelift TD4 auto SE is very low maintenance. Nothing more than routine maintenance, and general wear items to deal with.
:)
