My 300tdi 90 seems to lean over to the passenger when looked at from the front or rear by a good bit.
It has had very recent +2" springs all round so I know I don't have saggy springs.
Anyone else have this issue and is there any soloution as it's bugging me!

Don't bank on springs not being the problem, were they yellow? My Brit part ones sagged really quick and I replaced them with bearmach ones. Take some measurements of the springs .

the springs are britpart ones and are literally brand new, also how do i know if there handed? (do you mean front to rear or side to side, if you mean front to rear then they are fitted correctly)

if i fill the tank and sit in, it will lean even more!

The longer one I belive is drivers side. And shorter one passenger. Drivers side is longer as it has to allow for yor weight all the time and passengers side shorter as you arnt always with a passenger.

Has the misses left her handbag in there ?

From memory mine were not handed side wise, but mine is a td5 and the tank is at the back. Phone he suppliers and make sure they are the correct ones. But from my experience the yellow ones are ****, sorry.

yes it leans to the drivers side. will find out if there handed, just unsure in which ones to replace them with if needs be.

If it is the same as my 90, the standard springs would all be different, and would be identified by colour coded bands on the spring, so you can fit the right spring in the right location. The vehicle should sit level if the springs are in the right place.

If the aftermarket springs aren't handed, the vehicle will not sit level.

Britpart yellow springs are not handed, I'm not sure any after market ones are, I know Bearmach blues are not handed or Old Man Emu, I spent so much time on my last Defender as the lean on the near side was 25mm, changing between OME, standard, BP yellow, changed all the king pin bearings, still it leaned and eventually ended up with genuine LR HD front springs where the off side spring is roughly 15-20mm longer and it levelled it up and did not lose much of the two inch lift anyway. Odd thing is some Land Rovers are not affected by Landy lean.
I've just fitted LR HD fronts to my 110 with a winch bumper steering guard etc measuring from the top of the tire to the centre of the arch spat, the off side is nearly 6 inches and the near side is 5.5 inches, which is barely noticeable and will level out eventually.

trax - depends what you exactly mean by the big boy comment but i am 10stone 8lbs :smokin:

not sure what to do here then really....

The standard springs are different because they are compensated for things like the drivers weight, and the gearbox being more on one side.

The issue is not to do with your weight, it is to do with the springs being the same rate and length both sides.

If it really bothers you, you will have to go back to standard springs, if not, you may just have to live with it.

Just a thought! When you put the suspension back together, did you lower it to the ground and let the suspension settle all round before doing up the nuts?
