Never let it settle to the ground before all the suspension was bolted up tight, would that matter?

Also it already has 1" spacer blocks too.

Will just see if it annoys me in the long term and get some springs made up if it does.

As far as the curry and chips go, I'm afraid I can't as I race cross country mountain bikes and need to light as I can be as I don't want to be dragging excess weight around with me haha

That is what it says to do in LR manual. :) And I would guess the reason is that if you don't it loads up the radius arm mountings, and doesn't allow the suspension to settle into an even position all round. I coud be wrong, often am ;)

If you torque up standard suspension bushes while it is suspended in the air then when you lower it to the ground the rubber will be under stress all the time rather when the suspension is actually working. That will shorten the life of the bushes. With Poly bushes on the other hand as the inner and outer aren't bonded together (like standard ones) there is more chance for the bush to rotate and 'relax' in the resting position if that makes sense?

Maybe so,and I agree there would be less friction with the polybushes, but I have followed the manual procedure when fitting polybushes too, and haven't had any problems. :)

My landy has a slight lean to the passenger side, but with a full tank and me in it its a lot less noticeable. also measure from a fixed point from on the chassis rather than the bodywork as the bodywork or arch spats might not be completely levelled on the chassis
