A frame ball joint tightness

Hey dudes!

Just to make sure, how tight do ya tighten the bottom castle nut on the ball joint? The one with the split pin through.

Does it need tightening all the way up? (Dont have torque wrench Naughty naughty)

As I was tightening the castle nut up it seemed to compress the plastic cover bit and i didnt want to nip it and split it open (If it would even do that!)

I done mine up pretty tight.
I Didn't have a 30mm socket so my torque rench was useless.
Dun Im up fairly tight but moved Im back so as to put pin in.
Ask Buster.
