four cylinder, straight six

counting isn't his strong point.

He is from Devon, probably counting on his fingers

Thought it was going to be a six pot with two pots not firing..........the dum arse

looks like six to me

That's maybe why the Doc hasn't managed to get his 6-cylinder V8 going!!

If that's a six pot why has it got a four pot dizzy on it......count the ht leads

it is definately a straight six ,my dad had one in an old 109

leads 1,2,3,4 at the front 6 just visible by the bulkhead and 5 will be obscured by the distributor. either way hope its in better condition than the series 1

look at how long the exhaust manifold is, first four branches and then extends below the distributor to pots 5 and 6

You can see 5 HT leads in the picture, 4 to the left of the dizzy and one to the right, the other one is hidden behind the dizzy. It's a 6 pot.

I knew a guy who put a rover 6 pot in his early series way back in the late 60`s early 70`s era,
said at the time the motor was supposed to be slanted ???
but had to modify the oil pump pickup/sump to suit its new upright position ???
not knowing more about then,
I`m no wiser now,
but someone on here will be I guess.

well, right or wrong, towed a mini racecar on a trailor with a towball on the rear towing another mini racecar on a trailor like a roadtrain
never used it many times though .........

not sure why.... but it was well back in the days....

fair enough, must be the booze

its defo a 6 look at the exhaust manifold and pay close attention to the dizzy, if dr evil thinks its a 4 maybe that is his problem with the v8 can only count to 4 so he can have a v4 but no more
