Hi

no hot air coming through the vents (ive bought a new thermostat to try just havent fitted it yet)

Have you checked the water/coolant level and ensured it han't got an air lock?

Need to carfully open the vents (They may be plastic which can sometimes split! usualy if overtightened) one is on the top right hand side of radiator housing. The other is on the top of the thermostat housing.

Take them both out.
Check water level then get a helper to blow into the expansion tank till water comes out of the radiator hole, when it dose seal it with the plug. Then get helper to check water level and to blow some more! till it overflows at the top of the thermostat housing and again seal.
Check water level and put cap on... test to see if hot...

~Fuel and temperature gague dont work (fuses and wiring behind the dadh checked and ok)

Check the wire has not come lose. The temp is easy it is under the thermostat housing on the left as you look front to rear. there should be a single wire attached to the sender unit. If you find a lose wire there get a helper to earth it on the engine block and the reading should rise. If it dose then that needs attaching to the sender unit use a female spade or the likes. Fuel is the same but needs boot floor clearing, the circular flap lifting and then the sender is on in full veiw.

~Drivers window constantly mists up even within 5 mins of wiping it clear as do all the other windows but once wiped they stay clear unless the engines turned off then they mist up again within 10mins.

Once heating is fixed the demister will work and may dry out the car!

If there is a leak on the water heating behind the dash then that may also cause the dampness!

LOL UMM forget the last post then as thats for a Discovery 1 Tdi! lol

Principals will be the same but locations may differ!

Assumption is the mother of all f ups!
