after reading the other thread i rembered a question i have been forgetting to ask for a while
im after a 2 post lift to use for my defender mainly for doing suspension and lifting bodies as i seem to be doing a lot of that somehow !

question being is i have a gravel floor inside the barn and its not my barn just one i rent , concreteing is looking to be about £900 which is way more than i can afford , has anyone installed one with a different method? or have any ideas how to?

biggest problem being stability and nothing to bolt to but im allowed to dig the floor , was thinking of fitting a square of RSJ'S underneath the floor and filling over the top and bolting the ramp to thoose?

I wouldn't feel at all comfortable saying yes to anything other than what the lift manufacturer advises.
Your a long time dead.

you need a decent concrete floor or rsj frame

rsj frame dug under the floor? im thinking if i make a square frame and put barbs/spikes on it then dug it deep and bolted the lift to that? lifts are cheap is the concreting thats expencive , can then use thin layer of tarmac or concrete just to make it flat?
