Just a quick note to say many thanks to Boomer and DV for an absolutly cracking day yesterday in, around, and on the plain's. Even if I did manage to get what Boomer so kindly called "Fuk up Fairy" Of the day award when I took up DV's challenge to plow through what looked like an innocent enuf "Puddle" and my poor old Disco deceided to drink half of it!! (Def time to invest in a snorkle!!) Im sure there'll be some pictures to follow.

And a big thanks to DV, Boomer, Drew, and Buckshot for all the advice they willing gave to me on what to do and what not to do on my first proper off road trip out, especially the tips by boomer over the CB as we went along.

All in all a great day out with a bloody good bunch of people, already looking forward to going out again!! Will be investing in lots of OS maps!

And just one more thing, true to form DV did manage to break his Disco once more!!! Lol!!

Thanks again chaps!!

Not a bad day out, here's a few pics to kick off with, the first of which should look very familiar to a certain Basinstoches resident :D:D:D

For a spur of the moment trip it went great with mud and water in abundance where you would expect it, but large portions of the Plain were surprisingly dry despite the recent rain.
The road tyred vehicles (even the slitty) did really well where the going got tougher and noone got stuck til a Short Fat Bloke entered Dafts hole and promply drowned!
Gotta be better ways of doing a decoke mate..... :p:D
And maybe DV should fine summat 'diff'rent to break next time.....
Anyways I shouldn't take the **** too much as he towed me home in front wheel drive as my V8 developed an ignition fault and won't go.
Thanks for the lift home bud and for the loan of yours until I fix mine :)
