Hi all!

1996 300 TDi ES

Went the charge the AC today, noticed the clutch wiring had worn through on the pulley, stripped the clutch off and heat shrunk it, reconnected and gassed up.

Jumped in, pressed the button... nothing... no light no cold air.

Jump out, A/C fans aren't going, so check the fuse in the engine bay, its burnt out.

Replaced it, Same again, this time the light on the button comes on, as do the fans, but still no cold air.

Any ideas? Will get the multimetre on the pump tomorrow... is the complete pully suppose to turn then its on? Not just the part the belt runs on, but the front edge too?

The outside spins switch it on the clutch makes the inside spin at least it does on my tractor... Some have the clutch in the compressor I wouldn't know on disconfor obvious reasons

Well cracked it.

Pump wasn't getting a feed, checked the relay... fine, checked the pressure switch on the high pressure pipe... fine, Checked the wiring loom on the coolent temp sensor... BINGO!

Soldered it up and obs a cool one! Nice and Cool!
