Hi i have a 1999 disco td5 es which has ACE fitted i've noticed that one of the pipes that runs from the valve block to the front actuator is leaking a fair amount of oil. Is changing these pipes a straight forward job, it doesn't look to bad looking at it, has any body changed one of these?
Also with the engine NOT running would there be any pressure left in the system when i undo the fittings or is there a correct way of de-pressuring the suspension system. Thanks.

i had a pipe burst and repaired it with a 3/8" hydraulic re-useable connector.
simply cut out the small hole, thus making the ends good and re-joined using the connector (just the same as you would with copper waterpipe)
cost me a fiver from local hydraulic shop!!

Hi simon did your ACE pipe go on the flexable part of the hose mine has gone on the solid steel part just behind the front ofside wheel reckon i might try taking it off and brazzing the hole up.

it went on the solid pipe, hence you can fit the solid fitting in situ' without removing any pipework..you just need to be able to get a pipe cutter/junior hacksaw and spanners in.
you could try brazing but its very thin walled pipe.
good luck !!
