a bit of Derbyshire help please

Hi all,
Doing the obligatory walk around Monsal whilst walking in the peaks over new year I walked along part of what seems to be a BOAT? It runs from Monsal towards Brush Hill.
I am a Newby with a Freelander 1 and would love to do some lanes in Derbyshire when time allows!
I just wondered if anybody can advise and possibly be put upon one day to show me the ropes on this route or any other.
