Thanks Wammers. I have just read a post on here that pointed to the XYZ switch. Next payday ill get a new one on and see if it cures it along with some adjustment. I'm so glad I like projects.

Usually just need cleaning out unless it is damaged. But can be tricky to set up. Mark it up before removing it. You really don't want to know how much a new one is.

I was stupid and checked how much one is. Ill be looking at cleaning it tomorrow and being very careful. Is there an excepted way you do clean them. I have a google search and haven't found anything other than people saying they cleaned it.

The grease inside it usually hardens and stops contacts working. You MUST make sure you mark it and it goes back in exactly the same position.
