Sorry Furtrapper but post #50 is nothing to do with me yet your comment(#53) seemed aimed at me as being "a very deceptive person"...my post #52 was pointing out that the original poster was in enough mental anguish without having to "pretend"......I do realise that for any false claims made we all ultimately pay for them as we do for uninsured drivers....
I feel that your comment #53 was perhaps misdirected or you may have me confused with Tarantula that posted #50 our names both begin with the letter "T" but that's where the similarities end....regards

Thanks storm, good idea. Its a bit tricky in bodmin as all use has to be booked in advance and much of the local kids homework is net based and those that dont have a PC at home have to use the library, plus,in the day,a lot of people do OU courses....or thats what they told me,anyway.I will cast further.

As a matter of fact I have negotiated some PC time in exchange for fixing a printer !

The HP bucket of plastic ****e is now "working"....on black and white setting it prints like colour negative, and doesnt have very easy maintenance tools....but it works after a fashion.

I have also taken photos of the whole lane with a surveyors 2m range pole laying across for reference and got them all on the computer.

Still awaiting reply from cornwall council about their contractors and respective routes....can I hit them with freedom of info on that ?

Drove by the coucil vehicles repair depot at castle canyke,bodmin....no sign of any HGVs,only 3.5t and below but getting a few pics of various council yellow vehicles.

Had a letter from police collisions unit today saying insufficient evidence to make charges either way. However, it DID include the correct reg of the lorry that I didnt have until now. I may have to pay DVLA to tell me what the lorry actually is,weight and axles,as this is quite central to my argument that I do not bear 50% of the liability. If I could find out what it is I can compare its size specs and photos of similar rigs with the size of the lane.

Have not had emails that I requested from the mystery engineer (that came when I was out and took all the notes I had written) or from the salvage company elected by NFU who deny sending the bloke or the people who tried to take the car away.

I am not prepared to deal with any of these people except by email or in writing now. I have emailed Mike at Liskeard NFU (pleased to help etc) who refused to speak to me with a copy to NFU national. A very humble, apologetic, meek little whine it is,too.

I really want to get as many facts as I can together before I start shouting the odds at all, or even complaining. Has anyone any experience of freedom of info requests and just what and how and so on ?

Thanks for everyones continued interest !

I'll take that offensively shall I? :D

Finally got a response from council but they asked me why I wanted all this info on the vehicle and its route and workers and license etc etc.....so I told them I needed to know as I had been in a collision and that I needed the details to placate my insurance company . Also that it would be nice to keep it pleasant and polite without wasting everyones time and resources with freedom of info requests. It has been pushed upstars to the line manager who has not replied yet.

NFU national told NFU local that they must contact me to advise but they have not been in touch so I will be onto national again.

Sent in personal injury stuff today but am not thinking that it will get me anywhere . I am not trying to make an earner of this , I merely want what I pay for and justice.

Off to do detailed crash report and diagrams now.
