I've trawled this site and others, but I've not seen anyone else with the ABS fault 2-8 "In system relay, there is no solenoid valve supply."

Have I blown a fuse? Popped a relay? Shafted the ABS unit? Any pointers from someone who's seen this one before would be greatly appreciated!

I've no experience of this fault and most Disco 1s never had Abs. As such there doesn't seem to be the knowledge of the system compared to The Disco 2 where there's lots of online help.
Sorry this doesn't answer your query but what I do know is that my brother has spent a fortune on his which was a jap import. Perhaps it's a lack of knowledge by his repairer but he's just written a cheque for over £700 and it still isn't fixed. Last year he had new wheel bearings etc. fitted as well, also costly using a garage.
I'd recommended that he remove it, there are plenty of breakers without abs and any pipework would be quite easily swopped over. We've checked and abs removal isn't a problem with Mot. As far as Insurance, a Disco 1 with intermittent abs is a death trap and removal could be considered a safety enhancement. I personally wouldn't tell them because underwriters only follow written instructions and can't use common sense.

The problem is on that particular circuit, first of all make sure that the fuse is OK then change the relay, if no change some troubeshooting is needed to see what's missing at the relay, the live to the contact or the feed to the coil
