Hi all,

Anyone know if the '95 county 110 (300TDi) came with an alarm as standard?

Many thanks

Sorry, you are correct of course - just going through the joy of purchasing my first 110 (deposit paid) and investigating insurance (hence the fitted as standard question)- veh is in Taunton with the dealer and I'm on the Isle of Man....

Well I would - but its gone 1800, I don't have their home number and I really want to make sure I give the insurance folks (or their website drones) the right info otherwise they'll welch when I need them......

Ok, so I don't know but I have a 1994 and it had no alarm as standard - I fiited a Thatcham Cat II mobiliser.

I suspect the 1995 won't have had either, but could be wrong.

Suggest get the insurers to quote with no alarm or immobiliser - that gives you your top end quote - if you find out it has one, you can call back and haggle - sorry, I mean negotiate!

Oh, if you seach you'll find that the websites aren' always great with Landys - phone calls can often get you a cheaper deal.

To be helpful, names that often come up are Adrian Flux, Lancasters, NFU (but their premiums have increased recently)

The usual car insurers don't always like Landys - too many stolen for them recently, and they don't understand the mods

Thanks all - Adrian Flux is indeed the best so far (Fully comp at £155).

NFU are coming back to me.

Roll on 2 weeks time when I can collect it - so looking forward to it.

Dunno why I'm excited about getting a Defender - I sat in them for long enough when I was in the Army!
