my 2001 90 td5 85 k on the clock was running rough, so as you do i checked the injector loom and it was wet , i replaced it and checked the ecu until at last there was no more oil , i then changed the oil and filters sorted the egr valve but it is lacking in power and struggles to hit 60-70 mph and miss fires at high revs it also sounds like it needs or is getting to much air , i have checked all hoses seals etc and all is ok and changed air flow meter , have brought it to a garage and plugged it in to the magic black box , it is saying that there is a fuel pump problem ( not the pump in the fuel tank) and the man at the garage tells me that it will cost £1000 to have the pump recon, he says that it seems to be starved of fuel and will let me know tommorow what the problems is, have any of you had this trouble , if not and this is something new i will let you all know what is the problem and what is the cure , thanks for reading
