Ive got a 300tdi 96 chassis with 24 spline axles, have also got some mud tarrains that require a 2" lift, i wanted to just add shocks & springs, as cant afford whole suspension kit yet, i realise i will have to buy double cardon props, but will i have to replace the cranked trailing arms???? And anything else???

double cardon prop is only needed on the front if you fit Castor correction arms you should be ok but the transfer box end will ware a lot quicker, the standard rear prop should be ok if its just a 2" lift and the trailing arm will be ok but its a good idea to get a cranked one as it will put less strain on the chassis bush and you will need extended brake hoses.

You don't need a double cardon prop or even cranked arms, as has been stated. IMO you are better off using re-drilled swivels or a re-jigged front axle casing for castor correction, if you even find that you need it.

If you go with cranked front arms for castor correction then IME you will need a double cardon front prop because they really upset the diff pinion angle and you end up with the two ends of the front prop way out of parallel. I have also seen one set of cranked front arms fail with stress cracks at the rear axle end bush hole.....if you see what I mean :)
