Long story short is I am desperate to rip my 90 apart and rebuild it from a galvo chassis up but after much deliberating with my dad about how I wish I had gone for a 110 as it wouldn't be to big after all!!

So the sticking points were body panels and floor, where would I get a new floor etc as eBay isn't coming up with the goods or are they not a common thing to sell?

Also what is the laws on turning a 90 into 110 v5/mot wise?

Any info would be great

Chris

Was discussed recently, no point really, all the extra bits, pillars/floor/seatbox etc soon add up, doors aren't cheap either, to end up with a car that's not actually what it's supposed to be. It won't be worth much when you sell it because nobody is going to want it. I've got a 110sw that actually started life as a pickup and that's bad enough, I will never be able to drive it into central London, it will never be worth as much as the real thing. Plus the DVLA will have you jumping through hoops for months on end.

I really think you would be better off buying a 110 to start with.

.....well from a position of ignorance it seems possible, as how would stretch limos get built...

....but playing devils advocate, how would it look to a buyer is you had to sell it? Not sure how I'd feel if I had to choose between 2 and one had been stretched I'd go for the other

....not much help I know, 'bits4landys' have some interesting stuff and might be persuaded to do you a rear floor for. 110

...I think all in all you are making quite a lot of trouble for yourself

No stretching involved as if I was to do it I would start with a new galvo 110 chassis and build with 110 parts! Yeah I can see the expense in replacement parts!!

I am all for constructive criticism as I believe that people need to know the pros and cons from different views but criticism with no explanation isn't helping anyone!

Thanks for helping me make my mind up as I was just spinning ideas!

110 csw or van ,?tubs and roofs dont fetch that much , i sold a roof and tub for 110 for £100 last year which is all youd need apart from chassis ,csw is a different kettle of fish

It's a double cab I was thinking off and one reason for the idea was if I was to go out and buy a 110 double cab more then likely it will be rotten to some degree. I know that wouldn't be a problem to repair as it's only welding but the price of buying one and rebuilding it just got us thinking!

Thanks for the answers I was looking for James and disco

lol, what the hell.

apart from the expense, it would need to be tested and stuck on a q plate.

a load of work and hassle for no reason.. you be

meanwhile, now we have kids the renault twingo is too small. so can anyone give me some hints on how to change it into an espace.

i'm thinking new shell and engine and some interior bits.

mmmm, I'm thinking of turning my Saab into a luton van, don't want to go 7.5 ton but would like to be able to park a smart car in the back.
I might put a set of wings on it, that would be nice.
