Hello Landy lovers..... change the binical in my p38 dse (the fuel gauge needle fell of me old one)..my car had done 127 thou... but when i fitted the new one (seconhand bought off ebay) its over 200 thou!!!! great!!!!!! i thought that the millage was stored in the bcm thingy???? have i done some thing wrong?????

Yes,you have - in a P38 the mileage is stored in the BECM and the instrument pack.Changing either will automatically update both to the highest mileage.
If you are worried about it the simple answer is to respond to one of those "mileage corection" adverts.Sound very dodgy and proberly not legal either.....
 
Could try getting nother speedo with a lower reading and resetting the mileage on the becm BEFORE switching on with the new speedo. if it bothers you or you want to sell the car. As the becm will be at zero, it should default to the reading stored in the eprom fitted to the speedo.
