I am in no way endorsing the company, but have you seen the RPI engineering power plenum for 4 barrel carbs. Obviously unsuitable for su but thinking along those lines; running a filter upstream of the elbows / collector

I have. And the price, plus four barrelled carb that won't be used as a carb plus a mixer for a low comp ancient v8 isn't worth it.
