Was out and about today and saw this old girl looking
rather pretty....not bad for a 42 year old car :). got
me thinking, could we expect to see 42 year old discovery's
in years to come???

Now I didn't say it was original :) I was more in the way
of thinking do you think that there will be enthusiasts
around prepared to keep discoverys on the road?

Oh I'm sure you'll be able to find the odd one or two in 25 years time. After all, you can still see the occasional Morris Marina or Austin Allegro in the Classic car budget section, and they're of the same ilk.

Morris Marina now thats a blast from the past :):) my mate had one of
these for his 1st car, it was about the time my Dad had that old
cheese cutter the "Princess" now you don't see any of them around
these days :)

In 2030 the EU will decide that all vehicles over five years old will have to be scrapped as they don't meet the new emissions rules on single cell power units and we'll all have to take out insurance policies that will pay towards the new vehicle just incase the residents of the Sir Jeremy Kyle zone can't afford it.

Don't give em any ideas ffs :frusty::jaw::bounce:

Disco, mostly underneath, is almost the same as Defender and can easily be cut/welded/fixed .. only issue is Ally rot on the bodywork, but I guess that's also a problem for Defenders .. so I say yes, I can see Discos standing the test of time .. ;)
