my dear range rover 2.5dt has been sat up on the small holding for a bit and a lovely chap offered to take a look at the head gasket for me. i agreed but when he removed the head there were 4 cracks one each on the outlets... so that meant i must have been loosing compression on 4 cylinders so how they hell did it move:doh:...lol

so question anyone got a head good one? how much?

There is someone on here with a conrod through his crankcase. I am sure he won't want his cylinderhead anymore. PM him.

oddly not until the vicous fan starting playing up and it over heated.

The over heating causes the cracks. Or propogates an harmless surface crack. As soon as the temp gauge goes over what is normal, the engine should be stopped and the cause sought.
