Mine is inaudible above walking pace unless booting it hard.
According to the V8ers we both must be deaf then. It amazes me how people running what is essentially modified 1950s engine can call a much more recent and better engineered diesel. Then spend hundreds of pounds making their quiet V8 louder.
When sometimes it can be less.
