18 most of the time,22 on a long run and 9 around town! I'm doing a 140 mile run on tuesday, i'll update then.

hi , i have a 2000 vogue 4.6 v8 petrol / lpg i get approx 18 mpg on petrol and about 22-- 24 depending on how hard i drive it on lpg ,, at 67p per lt its like getting 40 to 48 to gallon as i get 2 litres for same price as petrol per lt .. if that makes sense ..its a multipoint 8o lt tank but rarely get above 75 lts in it ... i get roughly 260-70 miles to full tank ,, ?????? but you need to have both petrol side and lpg side serviced properly each year ,,, hope this helps .cheers mozz :crazy_driver:

265 miles from 75 litres is 16mpg Mozz.....

I have a 90 litre tank (75 litres usable) and I get similar mileage from it on a good day!!

yes your right once again sainty . its my dementia again but at 67p per litre its still good mileage considering it only cost me about £57.00 to fill up ??????? hope them figures work out/ :crazy_driver: p.s. mines a 90 litre tank not 80 ...

£57 divided by 67p is 85 litres....

An LPG tank can only be filled to 80% approx...so my 90l tnak has 72-75 litres usable....I filled today to 75.02 litres at 73.9p per litre = £55.44

If you have managed to get more...something is wrong with your float/shut off valve in the tank.

if you returning 16mpg, and the price is 67p against 137p the equivalent mpg would be:

137 / 67 = 2.04

16mpg x 2.04 = 32.7mpg approx.

I prefer to work it out in pence per mile... my DSE was returning 25-26p per mile...my L322 on LPG returns 21-22p per mile

Never made a comment on your maths Mozz my friend...just clarifying for the OP....

I am particularly found of the V8 too...but if the economics of it defines a Doozel...then a doozel it is....I am not a snob...Just aslong as it's a Rangie then it will get loved....

thanks chaps.
i may have the opp to get a really nice 4.6 and just checking.
what should I check on the engine?

if you lot can get 20+plus out of a petrol/lpg range rover,it must be on asthmatic setting,do you often find that there is 2 miles of traffic behind you but nothing in front?:D:D

No, if im doing a constant 70 on a clear run on motorway (usually sheffield - london) i average 20-21. If i'm booting it then around 17-18.
