I have recently swapped engines in my P38 due to a cracked cylinder liner. I have the old engine on a Pallet and was wondering if it is easy to replace the liners or do i strip it, flog the heads (both skimmed and tested last year) keep the bits i might need to replace in time like water pumps etc and make a Top Gear style coffee table out of the block? Or is there a market there for it complete to re-furbish as I know I had a hell of a game finding a decent second hand engine for it.

its the block behind liner that cracks, liners are pressed in and machined to size once fitted, hence the use of top hat liners so that liner can be physically sealed to block face as you would find with wet liners
