im having problems with the passenger door on my 300tdi.
to open it for the first time after unlocking the door has to be pushed in.
does the catch need adjusting?,if so how do you do it?.
i had a rave disc but cannot find it so its trial and error.
can someone steer me in the right direction?.
it was not bothering me too much but i have done all of the other jobs on the car so now it is near the top of the to do list.
thanks

Look at the hinge side, it's possible you need to lift the door at the back, so remove one of the spacers at the top hinge. Made a great difference to mine.

Bear in mind that you don't need to fully remove the bolts .. the spacers are slotted, so can be persuaded out without completely undoing the bolts .. the nuts are held in slots, but not captive so if you remove the bolts, the nuts drop into the door, necessitating removal of the door card and splitting the plastic condensation trap etc etc ... guiess how I know!!

I though the the adjustment to the locking of the door was done via the round striker pin although I haven't needed to touch them yet.

It is .. but on mine I found it to be the door had dropped slightly .. only needs a mm or two and the pin doesn't have the travel needed to do it.

adjusted the pin and managed to get a couple of mm on it and it seems to have worked.
then the central locking would not unlock far enough so i popped the door card off and moved the actuator back a touch and everything seems ok.
thanks for all your help.
