300tdi viscous fan help

Okay so my pulley bolts came loose and the pulley shredded itself and is no longer attached to the shaft I cannot get the viscous fan removed as turning the nut just turns the entire shaft I have no way of stopping the shaft from turning do any of you have any ideas as to removing the fan?

Use a hammer to shock it off with the spanner or with a drift

Been trying that to no avail having a cuppa then ill go have another attempt but earlier there was just no resistance whatsoever about to post a picture which is probably not useful

Is there enough of the pulley left to jam a wooden wedge behind, twisting the pulley to interfere with the shaft and giving you a chance to hammer the spanner?

The whole center of the pulley has been torn out ive tried jamming screwdrivers and stuff behind it but the sfat is now independent of the pulley

Tried jammin it with wood cant get it to stop yhe shaft turning if I only had itbdrivanle I could go get a few gallons of unleaded and burn the thing out

if you can hit the center of each flat on nut squarely with flat headed long punch eventually it will unscrew by hand

I can only hope ill let you know how that goes tomorrow... on tgat would a small butane burner put out enough heat to swell the nut up?

Bit the bullet and let my mate who is a landy mechanic tow her away... he got the pulley off and found the pulley mount shattered new cober for the timing case needed fs
