300tdi steering

Hi, got a thing happening when trying to get in to a kerb side parking space.....the steering goes stiff.....only happens occasionally......have checked steering fluid, all ok. Anyone got any ideas what it might be?

Tyres are touching the kerb loose belts give you squeal air locks make the wheel judder

my guess is that you have your foot on the brake while trying to steer when static.
